▌ Status update: Year 1 student at NTU on summer break

CHAPTER I

The Subject

The file starts with a contradiction. For two years the subject trained firefighters as a sergeant in the Singapore Civil Defence Force; these days he works the other side of the alarm, testing computer networks with permission so the people who own them can fix what he finds. He started early, building OWASP scanning tools and a sealed-lab ransomware proof of concept before his diploma was done, and in 2025 represented NTU in an international CTF hosted by the Vietnam National Cybersecurity Association.

The rest of the record is steady rather than loud: a national hackathon win with SBS Transit for harvesting the tunnel wind of passing trains, a Top 8 finish at the NTU Fintech Innovators Hackathon with an autonomous research agent, and an AI triage prototype that makes its call in ten seconds. He studies Computer Engineering at NTU and is a member of the NTU Sentinels, the university’s premier cybersecurity club. The file that follows holds the rest.

MacroPollo

Autonomous Research Agent · 2026

TOP 8 · NTU FINTECH INNOVATORS HACKATHON 2026

Built a custom AI agent that automates data synthesis from multiple unstructured sources, applying advanced prompt engineering and LLM orchestration to generate actionable analytical insights in real-time, analogous to building custom Gemini Gems for automated reporting.

Designed structured evaluation pipelines to benchmark output accuracy, iteratively refining prompt strategies to improve the reliability and precision of AI-generated analysis.

Delivered a polished end-to-end demo placing Top 8 at NTU's Fintech Innovators Hackathon 2026.

CLINIC AI

Multimodal AI Triage Agent · 2026

Built an AI-driven data processing pipeline that fuses multiple real-time data streams (vision, audio, physiological signals), automating classification and generating prioritised outputs within 10 seconds.

Designed the system as a replicable proof-of-concept with documented workflows, enabling rapid iteration and continuous improvement of data collection and analysis processes.

Rail Energy System

SBS Transit Hackathon · 2026

NATIONAL WINNER · 1ST PLACE · SGD 3,000 · 200+ TEAMS

Proposed a novel energy-harvesting system that captures the piston-effect airflow generated by trains passing through underground MRT stations, using turbines to convert this otherwise-wasted tunnel wind into usable electrical energy.

Designed and built a working prototype that validated the concept's technical viability.
